Just wanted to give appreciative acknowledgment to Jeff 'The Biz' Holley (sounds like a WWE wrestling name...) for his help in getting me into a 07 M3 GT sedan in Black Mica.
After flipping back and forth between the VW Rabbit and the M3 for 3-4 weeks, I finally decided on the latter and drove down to see Jeff. Actually, this was a day after I went to Avante Mazda to see what their best price was as their dealership is about 10 minutes from where I live. Sure enough, Jeff did beat their price by a bit and it was a informative, no-pressure, no-wait meeting. When I was at Avante, I did some preliminary 'negotiating' with the salesman with my CCC quote in hand, then had to wait 5-10 minutes while he went to talk to his manager. They came back with a decent price but I felt The Biz might be able to do better judging from what I've heard here on the the forum. So I walked away from it...and drove down to MOT the next day.
I just picked up my M3 on Saturday. I had to wait about 1/2 hour for Jeff because he was wheeling & dealing with another customer but it was worth the wait. He let me go check out the car myself first, then went through all the pertinent features of the car with me. I was soon off driving away happily in my new, depreciating asset on wheels.
Thanks again Jeff. When it's time to retire my Honda CRV, I'll be sure to come down to see you about a CX-7.
