I think is very stupid how people post things like this on internet pretending they are doing something good.

I hope it doesn't work on a mazda 3.

is it the same concept as the dropkicked passenger door method kinda... shock it into unlocking?

Why would you link it here if you have a problem with someone posting it in the first place? I think that is stupid.

That is an old vid.
It might work on cheap cars..imports and such. So it should work on the 3 :)

Funny how the call it an Electronic Locking System.. it is just a cheesy power lock.

I'm too tired to start with you, although you might be right, you can think whatever you want, same as I can do too, thats why I posted it and if mods think is inappropriate on any way or its a repost, they can delete the link and close the thread.

This has been a known trick for a while. I guess its a good thing to know if you lock your keys in your car.

I wasn't trying to start a flame war as I haven't seen the the video as it won't load here at work.
I just thought you were being hypocritical. You bash someone for posting something on the internet and then you go and link it, which is basically the same as posting it up in the first place.

You never know it might work. I remember reading awhile back about how cars could be unlocked through a cellphone and everybody said it was bogus. Well, on Monday I went out to dinner with a customer of ours and the story he told us was his experience about unlocking the car over a cellphone. The guy is about 50+ yrs old and drives a Toyota Avalon (2005). I don't know how it works, but it's hard for me not to believe him. I don't see why he would lie about it. The story only came up because my boss was asking him how the button start worked, and the keyfob was brought up.

he's lying to you...why didn't you ask him if you could call him on your cellphone standing beside his car and he push the unlock button on the fob from inside the restaurant.

better yet...try it with a friend on your car and report back the result.

yeah that thing is a pure myth..... when I read about that over a year ago.. my dad and I tried it with all three cars with the different key fobs and even did it with different phones.... and nothing.... as for this... has anyone tried this??? somehow I think this might work on older low end cars... but not on a whole lot of new ones... most newer cars now have a panel in the way... which is why its so much harder for tow drivers to open the doors with slimjims... etc

Breaking into a car really isn't that difficult.
I laugh every time I see one of these videos because it
doesn't matter. Your car takes less than a minute
to take. Alarm or no.

did anyone notice the dents around the lock on the door in that video?!

even if that whole idea did in fact work, i would still rather get someone to drive over with a spare key rather than applying force to a body panel of my car

I agree this may just may work just maybe on cheap imports but I hightly doubt it would work on a 3. I think it woud only work on the cars with the lock knob that pops up too.

theurgy

Yeah I think what they are doing is forcing air down the cylinder and it's enough force that it causes the lock knob to pop up.
Truth is this isn't enabling any car thieves as in reality... if a car thief wanted to get into your car he's use something more reliable... like a brick or a crowbar.
