id still take the wrx over a mazdaspeed3 anyday ... all wheel drive > front wheel drive.

Yeah for our climate, I agree, the WRX is probably the safer/smarter bet.

Yea but for price, power, fuel efficiency, even skidpad results... ms3 > wrx. But for looks i would give it to wrx.

After yesturday, I am all for the Speed3.
STIs where getting spanked at the SOLO II Challenge. The tracks best time by a F1 series was 40.054. This one dude bought this Speed3 wednesday and brought it yesturday to the track. His best time ended at 46+ all other STIs and WRXs average a 48+. The speed was still stock as you imaging. Not the Subis; some where in the Street Mod and Street Prepared class. They still could catch that 3.. Man, there was a lot of confused and amazed looks after the event..

The WRX might be a decent car but the 2008 WRX is just FUGGLLYY.

Their designers go through phases I think. Old school one was decent back in the day, then they came out with the racoon eyes or round headlight one and that was just horrible. Then last generation was prob the best looking one of the lot.

This one looks as if the designers were having nightmares while doing the drawings :chuckle

P.S. Though I gotta admit the rally concept car looks hot.

I had the pleasure of riding in my buddies 04 sti with a 2.6 crate motor and every other part under the hood changed, putting out 500hp. I must say..... this ride rocked!!!! I have never seen a car accelerate so fast and handle so well. Plus, its not a hatch. :p (Sorry, had to get that one in there)

Yea the 04 is the prettiest one they made IMO. 500 HP thats mental...I sat in my buddys CLS 55 AMG this year and man that thing was a beast.:chuckle

the wrx isn't offered in the uk because of vehicle model line co2 emission averages.... i read that subaru offered a tame version wrx for most of the world to compete against the gti and mazda etc. and reserved all the hard core performance development for the sti

way to much money, but i'd love a new sti
