Guess what I was lucky enough to see!?!?!?

I was gonna wait to get my pics off my phone, but they wouldn't be that good anyway. So here are some real pics of what I saw! A "Porsche Carrera GT Gemballa Mirage GT". I was doing a delivery in Mississauga just off Hurontario by the 407 and spotted this lovely beast along side a Dodge SRT10 and MB-CLS AMG. DROOOOOL!!!!! I got right up next to it and looked it right over. Apparently its some owner of a video game company 'Katana' I think it was.

I saw an Audi R8 when I was leaving that big AA meet a couple weeks back. I took a crappy digicam video of it, but I'm pretty sure it was the R8. Its not even listed on sale in the Audi Canada site, and going to the USA site always re-directs me back to the Canadian one.

last Friday we had a big turnout at a local hot spot in Ottawa.
Lots of people show up at this parking lot (hundreds) at night. All kinds of cars.

Suddenly all I hear is what sounds like an Indy car, and I'm standing by the road near where I parked in the parking lot and I see a nice Carerra GT. :D That thing sounds explosive! Getting an aftermarket exhaust on that car.. very pointless. :D

The uber-rich are getting disproportionately ridiculously richer, so that might explain why you see more supercars these days. :D

i was talking to the one tech at work the other day, and he said that the tax bracket levels off when you make more than a certain amount.

ie, the guy who makes $100,000/year gets taxed the same amount as the guy who makes 10,000,000/year.

I wish I still had that story about a GT in TO that fried its clutch driving the DVP in stop and go traffic...clutch replacement was around $30K...I say serves him right for "car abuse"...lol...

A couple weeks ago i was able to get a drive in the Audi R8. A friend of mine is an automotive journalist so he got it for a week and gave me a spin. It is a crazy beast. Fast, handles like a dream and is very nicely done on the inside. The one problem, i could not figure out how someone could change the battery without taking a bit piece of the car out lol.
