I thought the prices were high too. How are they going to compete against supermarket chains on this one is beyond me. Even the mom and pop stores are cheaper. For the price they're charging I hope they come to my house and cook it for me too. lol.

Well I don't know of any other place that you can order Lobster online and have it delivered right to your door like Sears is doing.

Interesting. I can't see myself ever buying lobster online though. I like to pick it out in person.
Looks like Sears is banking on the Sears brand to justify the high prices.

When in season, the local store here at Broadview and Gerrard, specifically Bill's lobster place has live lobster for $7.99/lb. Loblaws even has those sporadic lobster tail specials for $4.99 each, but often sell-out within hours of opening.

Having been a former Sears Catalogue franchise owner.. Sears has one of the most efficient cross country logistics and distribution network.
SLH is amazing and you can see how it could be used to deliver something as freshnes critical as lobster....Im just amazed that they are actually doing it..LOL

that is the weirdest thing I can think of getting a package from sears for Lobster.... pretty cool concept though.... not sure how well it will work
Canada is a huge country, this will appeal to people who live outside of major cities where Lobster is much harder to come by than in the GTA.
