Hey guys,
I purchased an Injen Hydroshield for my Fujita F5 and installed it this morning. The Hydroshield claims that no performance is lost by using the product. However, I feel that the car has less power and that the noise produced by the intake is reduced.
Anyone know whether this is true or whether is it just psychological?

I'm considering getting a hydroshield for my F5 as well. Where did you purchase the Injen Hyrdoshield by the way?

I got mine from Patrique @ CTA Motorsports... Depending on the answer to my question, I might get rid of it.

Because it's a sock that covers the filter, it will clearly muffle some of your intakes ability to... intake- thus less suction -> less power and sound. I'm surprised that you noticed the difference, however, as I assumed this would be negligible.
IMO, if it's not lagging your car, I'd use it (wish I had one). You still have greater performance over stock, and now you can extend the life of your costly filter.

Thanks for the reply. Actually, it was not too bad today. Guess it was psychological.

its all psychological .
The sock is perfectly "breathable." I recently got one on my car and I haven't noticed any change.
