Hey guys, check this out... I wouldn't be against this except its so bloody expensive for what it is. Anyone able to produce one of these babies?

ur kidding? you mean CAI right? Cold Air Intake? And that is a cheap price....cheapest of all i've seen....but i wouldn't touch that particular one with a 10' pole.

if you don't want to buy a CAI, you can fab your own following Skarbro's thread.

I think he accurately described it as a WAI... Warm Air Intake. LOL

Definitely pointless since you will lose power. Go for SSG's Fujita F5 group buy.

Yeah, I meant WAI. That said, I was trying to find alternatives to CAI - fears of hydrolock and whatnot.

Cosmo Racing makes okay intakes.

That's just the short ram version.

Maybe i've fallen off the modding-boat, but I remember getting my CAI that converted into a short-ram from Injen for $150 for my old altima. Why is this so expensive, and anyone know of any cheaper alternatives?

Ive had a cosmo SRI before in my integra. The quality is ok. Their prices are typically under $100 but since they are in montreal you'll have to pay for shipping. Why don't you check out Pmall? Maybe they have SRI's for our cars.

Took a quick look around Pmall, didn't really see anything. I'll have another look tomorrow.
