Call Jeff at Lockdown. They do this kind of work all the time.

He obviously wants to do a DIY, and you ask him to goto lockdown?....

You need an LOC to do the install.. do a bit of research on it and you can figure it out from there.. I have the same setup in my car

You can purchase the LOC from here.

What it does is it converts your regular speaker wires and converts it's signal to be used for an amp. That way, you don't have to take out the stock deck in the car, yet use aftermarket amp and speakers.

wow im lost looking at that site, can you post a DIRECT link to what I would need?
I would just need this adapter and I could wire up my sub/amp to my OEM DECK?

Hi,
It is not really that difficult.
If you like give us a call and we can explain how to do it
You will need a Line Level Adaptor which you can get at any car audio shop.
IT is around $25 fopr that part

Do you guys carry the adaptor, I've seen it at future shop for around $50.
Not to crazy about paying $50 for a converter, I'd buy it at 25. Currently
I use the high input line from the amp to hook up to the factory speaker lines
I don't like this set up as it keeps the amp on once I start the car. I would
like the amp to go on only when the system is on. Is there some other way of hooking it up, or did I hooked it up wrong. I might have to drop by to let you guys take a look at it.

You can also purchase an amp that has a signal converter built in. I own an MTX Thunder 200 Watt and it has this feature.

I'll be returning my "Stinger" SLOC to Futureshop tomorrow. Not that it was a bad unit, just I have no need for it now. I will probably have to settle for store credit, I'll just use it to buy a couple new cd's !!
