Anybody have any feedback on the ATE PremiumOne rotors? From what I've read, ATE is the aftermarket brand name for Continental, which supplies OEM. These are the rotors that have two elliptical grooves machined into the rotors, used for wear indication. I read some reviews on TireRack, and the reviews were positive. One guy had the ATE and Hawk HPS combo, and said they were amazing. I was thinking of going this route.

i've seen ads for those before....i only knew of ATE from the brake fluid....those rotors look gimicky to me....i'm purely talking about looks, it may very much work fine.

I've seen this in CanadianTire ads. The ad description says that the "unique elliptical grooves channel away gas, heat and water for optimal performance," kinda like slotted.
I have no knowledge on how these rotors perform but the fact that CanadianTire promotes them is a turn off....you know what I mean?
FYI, CanadianTire has a special where 2nd rotor is half price.

It's probably worth a shot if the price is right. The company ATE makes a lot of OEM brake parts from calipers, rotors, and even the pads.

Yeah, CT is saying things that the ATE website doesn't say. The purpose of the elliptical grooves is for visual indication of rotor wear. If you don't see the grooves anymore, it's time to replace the rotor.

I know what you mean about CT carrying it. From what I could find on it, ATE is going for the premium market, and is selling top-notch stuff.
