Hey Guys,

G road test today at 1:35pm in Aurora. Anyone taken their G there before? I'm pretty confident, but then again I am Asian.

remember to move your entire head when looking at the mirrors.. I didn't realize this but I was only moving my eyes during my test.. they'll be looking to make sure you check and to do they have to see you turn your head..

Speed up on the ramp to highway, and match highway traffic speed before merging in .. most people fail for going too slow.

yes speed up on the ramp and u will fail.
I just hope ppl (in general) speed the hell up on the ramp; not saying for them floor it but don't stay at 80km/h on the ramp, arghhhh... Sorry as you can see I have bad drivers in the morning.... lol.

back on topic: good luck. and yeah just remember to move your head around when checking ur mirrors/blind spots.

What I'm scared now is when I go to get my insurance discount, they'll find out about my speeding ticket.

Skarbro, took your advice last time. Currently fighting the ticket, got a lawyer to do it. Court date is in December, so technically the ticket is not on my record yet right?

haha, if I wanted to spam I would've done long ago! Yea I had it. Pretty much failed the parallel parking section, but he was nice enough to let me try it over and over.

Not sure if it's the same for all insurance companies, but I didn't get any discount until a year AFTER i got G.

DOnt tell your insurance company you got your G, wait till renewl. THey wont discount your current rate until that time anyway. But they will certainly bump up your rates right as soon as they find out about the ticket!!! In my case tho they never checked my record and think its now clean, saved 140bux a month! they shoulda checked :P

Yes it is not on your record until/when you get convicted - which will be no earlier than your court date. Until then, there is no indication at all to the insurance company that you got a ticket.

congrats on the G!! Must be nice to have a nice instructor, I had a terrible experience. The woman I had was a complete bitch... and started arguing with me... she told me to parallel park my van in a super tight spot and I told her theres no way I'll get the van in there.. and I was told to just do it... after arguing shes like "JUST DO IT!!!!!!!!!!" so I did it and the wheel hit the curb so shes like umm hmm.. I see... and marked something down so I was like told you it wouldnt fit.. and she starts arguing.. I got the ****in van in.. after palming the wheel, she gets out and is like nice job... to bad you palmed the wheel... talk about a BIATCH!!!

hahah then I would have never passed.... the part where I almost lost it was on my way back to the center... I was doing the limit coming down the hill on bloomington and the light went yellow so I started to slow down... a Tractor Trailer went flying by me and he hit his brakes and slid through the intersection and I was told obviously I wasn't paying attention to my mirrors... cuz he could have rear ended me... so I laughed and said yep and if I would have gone throug you would have docked me for running a red... so I smiled and said Nice try.... she was on my case the whole time... its like as if I'm not nervous enough....
