After having this unit for 6 hrs.... I must say very sleek and stylish.... The album scroll and contact scroll is a nice touch. Internet... being a network technologist... I'm still figuring out how to get the internet working LOL...

The touch screen is very touchy, but will probably take to get used to...

Ipod nano vs. Ipod touch (video).... Ipod nano hands down... Since the screen is small for the nano, you fit more into its hard drive...

Ipod nano
Season 8 and 9 friends... I used 1.5 Gigs... out of its 8 gig capacity

Ipod touch
Season 8 3 gigs out of its 8 gig capacity... I guess its the size of the screen that makes the resolution and use of Gigs high.

Bottom line... I think its a trend, and in the long run I will like the ipod nano for watching video and listening to music. Seeing its a Bday present for my girlfriend, she will enjoy this more than I will.

While the Ipod touch charges, it gets extremely hot... But its because of the metal casing.... Lets hope that isnt a problem.

The Ipod touch is for hard core mac users and who would like to access internet, you tube or email. But if you want it for video, don't waste your money.

I've had my touch now for a week and a half and i'm very happy with it! The biggest improvement for me (over the last gen ipod video) is the ability to watch video and not have to strain my eyes.

The only issue I have right now is the lack of a suitable case for it...i'm temporarily flipping between an ipod sock and the sleeve that came with my previous 30GB video ipod.

It only gets hot with the usb plug charging the unit. While it is playing, it is only warm.
