Mazda Australia revealed the Mazda3 MPS Extreme at the Sydney Motor Show today, and it's a pretty compelling package. ECU reprogramming results in boosted mumbers of 281 horsepower and 313 lb-ft of torque. The fun doesn't end there either, as the Extreme gets a 2-inch exhaust (2 inch?) and a suspension tuned by Murray Cote, who does the same for Australian race and rally cars. 19" BBS wheels with red MPS center caps fill out the fender cutouts, and the car itself is finished in red paint with black stripes and a black roof. It looks mean both in pictures and on paper, and it's just for our friends Down Under.

This is good news for you MS3 owners, now you can order the Aussie cpu and "chip" your cars! I wish i had that option!

I'm not crazy about how the grey strip terminates at the front bumper. Too abrupt for my taste.

I love those rims. I'd gladly have a set of bbs rims like that. However I'd want a blue stripe instead to match my interior. ;)

Yeah I'm not too crazy about the stripes, or the feder accent pieces, and the interior is a little fanboyish..but still very nice. The rim package and black roof, and the rear of the wing painted black? Neat.
Factory painted calipers are also pretty cool. :D

Hmmm, taking a closer look....not a fan of the "extreme" badge, or the fender flares. The wheels are beautiful but the red center cap ain't my cup of tea.

It does look carbon grey in some angles.. black in others. Might be a decal, or perhaps the same paint/material as on the stripes as they look the same colour.

OH by the way Mazdaspeed, do you have pics of your car? You've got my interest?

His car looks eerily similar. He's got black wheels with the red lip. He's got vinyl on the hood identical to this but without the logo cut into it. He's put vinyl on his roof to make it black.

It's downright creepy! :chuckle

The only thing I really like is the black spoiler and the rims. The fenders look terrible. The "EXTREME" badge looks ghey. The rest looks so.... Vlad-ish. LOL :)

i tihnk the mps extreme would look better if the spoiler was the same colour as the grey decals, or vise versa.

and come to tihnk of it.... i think i might do some vinyl's like that one day.

If you ask me... Painting the lip will make the car look less aggressive... If your sticking with your red devil look.... Keep it black.... It blends well with your other black accent pieces VLAD!
