Driving home from work today,
1) passenger wiper flew off the car, thank god no one was immidiately behind me. wtf, I couldn't believe it!
2) pharmacy st/rd/ave whatever, in scarb was doing some pavement work around mcnicole and the area that should have been blocked off wasn't.
Guess what? 1/2 the front and rear of my passenger tires that make contact with the road are covered in a$$phault. /sigh
Anyway, i spent a few minutes trying to pick this sh*t out of the tires grooves/sipes and gave up. Should I be concerned? I'm thinkin of just leaving it as is, wait for my winters to swap in, then start picking at it, or would it fall off as I drive eventually?
Anyway, how was your day?

Last weekend, went down to the states with my wife. Drove over what looked like a dead animal, ended up being a crushed chair, tore apart my engine undercover (what's the price of a new one?).
On the way back wife gets a speeding ticket aound Lakawana. What do I do with a US ticket?

The second one, it will just fall off on its own :p

Not sure about the cost of the engine undercover. Regarding the ticket (my thoughts in other words):
You can try and fight it - which means going down there I take it.
Not pay it and take the risk should you/your car (wife only) go to NY State state, no state or local cruiser ever runs you plates say at a stop light - you may get taken to the station for immediate payment. Also, I'm not sure if NY State and Ontario don't have any agreements regarding these sorts of things - meaning it may show up when you try to renew the plates (the outstanding speeding fine) here.
If it's small $$$ maybe just paying is the easiest way.
Hope it works out.

I paid around $125 - 175 to have a new engine cover installed on my car. Forget what end of the range it was around. I just remember it was over a hundred. That was part & install.

+1 on paying the ticket.
If it's a small amount just pay it, no use wasting the gas/time going down there to fight it for a reduced amount. US tickets don't affect your insurance rate or give you any demerit points.

Wrong...
Depends on the State.
Michigan is not hooked up with MTO. AFAIK At lease I know it wasnt 4 yrs ago.
But New York is. I recieved a ticket in Grand Bend on my way to Rochester. The ticket showed up on my drivers abstract here, and just recently fell off.

I had a bad weekend. I went up north and it was foggy as hell, following my friend in his truck. I am doing about 40 on a backroad and all of a sudden I come to almost a complete stop. I felt a big bang like I drove over some rocks or something. I go outside, I look and I have a flat on a brand new tire $135 for a new one, I didn't look much as it was dark but some kids or animals for all I know have made a line across the road with rocks. I was pissed but left.
Well when I go to get my tired fixed, I looked underneath and all this what seems ot be weather proof mats or sound deadener is ripped all to crap, the bottom engine mount is smashed really badly, Looks like somebody took a sledgehammer to it. The black plastic below the engine is like scrapped to crap and alot of damage, oh well. What can I do?

You need to pay the ticket. Most boarder states have agreements with border proviences now that the tickets will affect your points, rates etc etc, you wont be able to renew your plates unless you pay the fine. My sugguestion if you want to fight it ... hire one of those Points companies local to the area that you got your ticket .. then you wont need to show up etc etc, can handle it all through fax, email etc. But definitly just don;t think you can hide from it, esp the next time you cross the border.
P.s - sorry for horrible grammer, spelling etc, new keyboard is annoying , combined with my lazyness to correct it all!
