Thinking of IC, not sold on the FMIC idea yet for our cars given the plumbing but i do like the idea of larger tmic. ETS core sounds good, but i don't like how raw it looks. Autoexe one is nice but pricey... tunning solution would be nice too but we'll see.

What are you planning/saving your pennies for over the winter?

what do you guys think about that new IC they were talking about on M3F's? Apparently ETS core 3" but w/better machining/flow... not sure if i believe that especially since PG i believe is the one doing it.

autoexe looks great but is pricey

Hey Vlad - I see your point, but this is the only forum that is trim-specific for some reason. All the other forums do not exclude the Speeds, so I think it's only fair to allow people with other trims post in the Speed forum - especially when the question posted is a general question. ;)

Sounds convincing enough since autoexe also follows that trend of having 3" core. And everybody knows autoexe builds some high quality stuff. However Truboost indicated that the new IC will be 'slightly' more than ETS and this 'slightly' can mean anything you know.

As for me having a bad experience with mazda's turbo, I'll giving 2nd thoughts (or perhaps 3rd) to every mods.

It isn't that you can't, it just comes accross as post whoring IMO. It was posted in the speed section to talk about things like a different TMIC, AP etc. So while everyone is welcome in every thread, i don't whore up a thread about the 3 gt etc. just because i know the OP is probally looking for info/ideas based on their particular application.

Autoexe is 2.75" i believe, so it will be slightly less than that new one which will probally be cheaper but between the ets and the auto like you said... thats a big range, basically double. Well you have a point, not sure the ic or a cobb will really hurt the smoking issue though. if that new one looks close to the quality of the exe and is cheaper that might be interesting

Well I'm sure upgraded IC should not have direct impact to the turbo. It should actually help the turbo to breath better with increased flow.

What I was saying is, I should think about twice about spending money on this car. Maybe I'll pay it off and get rid of it for something else.

By the way, the turbo is coming in early next week. I should have my car back end of next week. We'll see how the new turbo behaves.
