Hey guys, its me with that salvaged 2006 mazda 2.3L lol.

My ecu was mashed in so I ordered a used one for about $95 shipped. When I got it, i noticed the broken ecu looked different than the one I bought.

I phoned up the dealership and they told me that my car is the PZEV california standard! Go figure :( Oh well, I don't mind the 5 less horses ----- BUT will the ECU I bought-- be compatible with my car?

Also, is there any differences with the PZEV Mazda 3's and the Standard emissions Mazda 3's?

Hmmm....I know the PCM's are calibrated for certain vehicles only. If it specifies that it's for PZEV than I'd say it won't work.
