Ok so my used 04 GT is perfect except for this 1 and a half inch scratch on the passenger side dash. Is there any type of compound or fill (I dunno what you would call it) that I can put over it to make it a little less noticeable?

Oh and if anyone says "replace the interior!" with a smilie beside it, get's one of these ->:AH

Replace the......

If it's on the textured part you're going to be hard pressed to find something to cover it. I've got a scratch just above the dash strip. My wife reached for something and her bracelet left a nice present. I haven't been able to find anything in the car car products that would "fill it in" properly.

My wife once got nailpolish on the glove box door of the Sunfire.

Let me tell you... do NOT use nailpolish remover on plastic!!! :chuckle

Ended up getting a new glovebox door.

Note - do not let wife/girlfriend or I guess boyfriend apply nailpolish in car.

Boyfriend? Nail polish? I hope nicker is short form for Nicole :chuckle Sorry, I haven't seen anything either but interested to see if there is a product out there to fix this.

well I know it won't be perfect on the textured part but a lil something to make it slightly better is enough for me

assuming it is black use black touch up paint and apply the paint in several layers and wipe away the excess it WILL fill in the gap layer after layer

the interior does look like it scratches so easily... I've noticed if my foot hits the bottom of the door getting out of the car, it marks up pretty easy

Oh man, smoking in my car is punishable by death.

+1

Death alone though is not enough. Make them clean the interior and febreeze it first.

just applying some interior trim gloss like armor all or equivalent should help conceal scratches, if only temporarily.

When i took my 3 in to the dealer for osme work they scratched the trim right next to the stereo. I told them i wasnt too happy about it and they had a guy come in and repair it. Pretty much looks like new. Worth looking into for sure.

That is the price you pay when you let people smoke in your car.

My car has a not smoke or food rule.
