Is that a broken connector connecting to it?
Looking at the mazda iso... not very detailed, but I'm thinking the Variable tumble shutter valve actuator

That's the EGR (Exhaust Gas Recirculation) valve.

Is this the salvage? .... if it is don't waste money heh just rip it off and put a plate over it.

Its really just the connector that is busted, i might just connect it up manually.
