I thought Hellraiser was good when I was a kid. The AMC channel is reshowing the original horror flicks this week. The Omen, The Exocist etc. Last night Hellraiser was on with the follow up Hellbound. I couldn't stop laughing.

Good choice. Not only is it a good movie, but now you'll catch all the references to it in other shows.

HaHa... I remember when the exorcist first came out, there was stories of people running out of the theatres scared shitless, people puking and some having nightmares for weeks afterwards...all in my anticipation of seeing it,...when I finally did; I found myself LMAO thru the scenes, it was so bad (except for Linda Blair ramming herself with the crucifix, that was sort of erotic in a wierd kinda way:chuckle)....WAY OVER-STATED movie.

If you have the time for a second movie try these classics; 'the Changeling', 'Ghost Story' and for sci-fi scary; 'the Thing'

according to a survey these were the top ten rated halloween movies

1. The Exorcist (1973) (amazing)

2. The Shining (1980) (amazing)

3. Halloween (1978) (scared the bejesus out of me)

4. A Nightmare on Elm Street (1984) (was okay)

5. Ringu - The Ring (Japanese version) (1998) (much scarier then the ameicanized version)

6. The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (1974) (meh)

7. The Omen (1976) (really good)

8. Stephen King's It (1990) ( I hate clowns, so this was a nightmare waiting to happen)

9. Hellraiser (1987) (was scary when I was younger)

10. Hostel (2005) ( SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO STUPID!!)

I think the reason that it was funny was mainly because its just so dated.

You took this from Time! Copyright issue right there :p

None of these movies were that scary, but I guess I'm really desensitized to these things.

Now that Britney Spears movie...that was scary
