View Full Version : What's there to do around Avante??

I've gotta drop off my car Friday morning for service to get the recall done and it's gonna take a few hours.

Where can I go from there to soak up the hours?

Anything interesting nearby, or should I just get them to take me to where I can catch a bus and go home?

Any reason why you are going to Avante and not MoT for service?

So far my experience with them has been really good. Other than the inconvenient location, I just don't have reason to switch.

I'd go to MoT first for parts or sales, as I'd prefer to deal with Joe or Jeff, but we don't really have an insider in the service dept, right? :)

Like Vlad said there is Hillcrest mall... hardly could kill a few hours there.... sadly there really isn't much around Avante.... otherwise... I'd say maybe go to a coffee shop... grab a paper or a good book and hang out.. or if you have a laptop avante has wireless internet...

Just get them to give you ride home, I am pretty sure every dealership has a shuttle service.

As for an insider in service... Joe and I do what we can. ;)

there seems to be a lot of flies at that location. Anyone been there for in the last 2 weeks? I went about a month ago. I hope they fixed that issue.

I'll bring my laptop along just in case, but try to wrangle a ride home. It's quite a hike from Richmond Hill to NorthEast Scarb. :)

I usually just grab some Timmies up the street at the Esso station and come back to Avante. I usually read the paper and watch the news. Its too cold out to take a walk now anyways. :)

That area needs a good strip joint.

Richmond Hill is boring. At least at Yonge and Steeles you're close to everything.

My elementary school used to be right on Yonge Street just north of Major Mackenzie (this is going back quite a few years), and right across the street was a strip joint.
