This is just making the rounds again now. According to Snopes, it's unconfirmed. http://www.michelleandkevin.ca/forum/images/smiles/puke.gif

this i am sure is a hoax!
i searched pubmed to see if i could find any studies involving "jenkem' or 'fermented raw sewage' and there were none.
if it was a real drug being used in zambia regularly, there would be someone who wanted to study it in the addiction field.
nonetheless, i will discuss this with some colleagues and see what they think of the matter.

if used
if it is fermenting, it is likely methane gas that is messing people up. now . . u can get methane and not have to smell decomposing fecal matter. i bet anyone who smelled it of inhaled the vapours would vomit immeadiately!
nasty!
my advice to someone who wants to try this . .
"go sniff some glue it is less nasty and still cheap . . . u farking retard!"

hmmm, more research
a report from national geographic in 2005, notes jenkem use amoung those who are really really poor in zambia.
the said most of the kids would sniff glue or gasoline, but if they couldn't afford that . . some sniffed jenkem.
i still dont see why someone in the states would use this over glue or gasoline . . . even if the highs are different . . . it is so farking gross.
frick, go rob a store and gets some real drugs fack!
:P
