I went to see McGuyver to install HIDs and sway bar and everything goes smoothly except for the H11 fogs. The bulbs are about 12mm too long for the socket. Has this happened to anyone else with the Prolumen H11 bulbs?
As the kit was picked up from Devin about two weeks ago, is it possible that a new batch of H11 bulbs are being produced that don't fit the 3 fog housing?
u need to push the cap in the fog more in to make them fit
it has to do with mazda they changed the fogs after 2004

I believe McGuyver pushed the caps forward and still no go.

I've had this problem as well.
There is a small retention clip at the tip of the bulb (thin metal wire). With needle nose pliers bend back this wire so it sits flush against the bulb --- do this carefully and slowly as you may break the bulb if rushed. The bulb should fit once the wire is bent back.

I was also thinking that shield in the fogs needs to be removed...
wonder how hard is it to remove? does it involve taking apart the whole fog light?

The screw holding that shield is in the INSIDE of the assembly , therefore, making it very hard to do.

you would need to heat up the housing removing it like how you would doing an angeleye install...
OR..
we just torn the frigging thing out, it took nearly 1 hour to do both side, and scratching the reflector a little.

I thought I had a problem too (bought HID H11's from Devin)... but apparently they did fit as long as they went in straight. Devin actually jacked up the car and was able to fit them in w/o the removal of the cap.
I strongly suggest not to remove the fog cap.. as it'll create so much glare everywhere.

+1 it creates alot of glare...but meh...I didn't care as our fogs are crap for light up the road anyway...they just look good.

Exactly they do fit our Prolumen or KWD fit no problem but they need to go in dead straight and inline.
If you just to just jam them in there they will not go in. I had a lot of people bring it in to get them installed only to be told they will not fit, then they come to me and I put them in without problem.
