Painting Caliper Question

If I decide to paint my calipers, will this void my Mazda warranty? I already asked a Mazda technician and he said it doesn't but I just want a second opinion. I always thought that any sort of modification(not done by Mazda) will void the warranty for the part.

Unless the painting causes the problem, they will be covered.

ie, if you painted the bleeder valve and it then leaked or something, then you'd be SOL (though I can't imagine how that could happen) but for any normal issues, you'd be fine.

Hmm...

When's the last time anyone had a warranty problem with a caliper anyway? :)
