ipod adaptor cable malfunction

I have an ipod cable connected to the Mazda 3 stereo. The ipod can be controlled via the buttons on the wheel. Recently the passenger side speaker was not working when the car was accelerated. It worked again either at a complete stop or at park. If it's not connected to ipod, the speaker was working fine. The night before I tried to take it back to the installer to check it out, it worked again. Therefore, I did not go. Now this happens again but only after a long drive. Anyone knows what's wrong? Is it because of loosen wire or loosen contact with the ipod? If I take it back to the installer, can they have the tool to find out the problems?

Take it back to the installer for sure. What brand is the adapter? Is it a plug-and-play unit? Must be a loose connection somewhere.
