I was browsing through ebay and I found someone who is selling a Mazda 3 fuel saver. Apparently its supposed to do the following for $9.99

- 14+ MPG better fuel saving
- 30+ HP ( Vehicles with larger engines average 35-40+ HP )
- 30 FT. LBS. Torque ( Vehicles with larger engines average 35-40+ Torque )
- Improved Acceleration
- Improved AutoX Lap times
- Improved 1/4 and 1/8th mile track times
- Better mid-range acceleration
- Higher Top-End power
- Increased towing payload
- Smoother shifting (Automatic and manual transmissions)
- Smoother Idle
- Extends the life of your spark plugs
- Extends the time between costly engine Tune-ups
- More low end torque
- 60%+ Quicker throttle response time
- Cleaner Engine Heads
- Cleaner and faster revs
- Higher Top-Speed and Improved Top-End Torque
- Better Climbing ability
- Improved HP and Torque Output in High Altitude Areas where the air is thin
- Increased Passing Ability
- Better and Crisp throttle response
- Circuit Protection

Seems like a long list of items for that price. His feedback is at 99.6% with only one bad comment. After reading several other comments it looks like its a resistor. It also comes with 100% money back guarantee and lifetime warranty.

Sounds too good to be true? Has anyone ever purchased something like this or similar?

Although it sounds like I was interested in it, I wasn't actually going to buy it. Its a simple resistor you can buy at Home Depot for 35 cents.
