Kevin@nextmod
12-19-2007, 01:31 AM
As the title said, i finally went over ot the dealership and they gave me my VIN.....WOOT!!! really anxious and looking forward to pick it up. The car will be delivered this week to there dealership but i'll have to wait for them to order my lip kit and my fogs and wait for them to put it on so probably late next week will be in my hands.
This week and next week will be my last days to drive my car and i'll make sure i'll take more pics of it and enjoy every last min. of it.

I'll update some teaser photos when i pick up the car. I'll keep using this thread to update.

Hmm so either the GTI or the ultra cheap lease (relative to the rip off before) of the SI

Yeah it isn't gonna be white anymore...new colour is called dirt. Can't wait to see the new ride. I've sat in a coupe before and it must be made for average asian, not for us 6'4 guys..:complain

I know someone will address that. The reason is i've drove a mazda 3 and i want to try something new. Interest is expensive as well.

I think that is a fine explanation. Just because you have/had a Mazda, doesn't mean you have to stay with them forever.
It's all about personal preference.

Sometimes its not all about the speed. I know the speed 3 is fast but i've drove both cars before but i find the SI to be more fun. Also the only changes to me in the speed 3 is the speed. Everything else seems the same. The SI is something fresh to me.

um......leasing is cheap but overall price is not cheap.

Also the SI is 1.5% lease and with $2000 DP and with skirt package, it comes out to $360 plus tax per month. So about $410 per month.

My insurance company dropped down in price for me. I was paying $2300 a year for my mazda. Now its $2100 for 2 door coupe. If i got a 4 door it will be $1900 a year, first driver

Very nice choice & color. I've come to really like white Si's with the OEM body kit. I once saw one lowered with a wing (yes, a wing) and I thought it actually looked good.

I can't wait till I get to take pictures of it.

Not a bad price at all. I'm paying $407/month for my 07 Sedan. It's financed though.

I gotta say, the SI with an aftermarket intake sounds perfect.

Congrats on the new car...

all though personally I have negative reviews with the Si...here are some tips would like to share...

debage the vehicle, once people cant figure out that it is a Civic SI....you wil have least worries about it going missing or people messing with your car....

and tint your windows....again hide the fact the car is an SI....

the only positive feedback was hitting redline from time to time or just driving it a bit more aggressive then usual, IMO how a Honda shoud be drivin, oh and they can handle pretty well out of the box...

enjoy your new car purchase and drive safe on the roads

Isn't the "Si" logo embedded into the front grille? May not be as easy as just peeling it off.

Kevin@nextmod

Apparently it is on the front grille and you'll have to change the grille to take it out.

Fawk mang. Oh well I see what you're trying to do now Kev.:)

Kevin@nextmod
12-20-2007, 12:22 PM
The mugen is only available in blue, that special blue...haha... I originally wanted the 4 door, but i just can't stand the front bumper. Was considering the CSX type S but with $6k more. Altho its $6k more it comes with nav std, bluetooth, voice sync, leather, heated seats, fogs, EP3 type R rims, JDM civic headlights, JDM tail lights. But its still too expensive to me cause i have no use for the nav, rims, and the leather. And i know if i'm going ot get the CSX i'll do a full Type R conversion which is $3k

azn_outlaw
12-20-2007, 12:49 PM
Speaking of CSX, really nice car, to be its not like its JDM twin the CTR...Booo!!!

all though I have seen people in the GTA rocking the mugen body kit on it but the taillights are like ummmm....yeah....

the "Si" symbol is also located on the trunk but there is one on the grill, need to remove that sticker on the side of the car as well...

what type grade of gas does the Si take?

Xerox

I'm pretty sure that's a high compression engine so prob. min. 91octane. Just a guess. :)

Congrats, Pearly. Dirt colour = galaxy grey? :)

Again, excellent time to lease a Honda - I also can't stand the sedan's front bumper missing the faux air inlets/foglight holes.

Kevin@nextmod
12-20-2007, 11:46 PM
Yup...high compression, so 91 octane.

And its a white but i say its a dirty color because by the time i leave the dealership parking lot, it'll be dirty .

I couldn't agree more. I loved my Z24 (coupe) - but it certainly doesn't fit my lifestyle anymore with a kid. Once you get older, small coupes quickly lose their appeal. Nice car BTW.

Well it doesn't really matter to me. With the price i paid i can get the speed easily but i decided not to cause i want a change.

Nice ride. Hows that compare to a Mazdaspeed3?
Its different from the speed 3 in various ways. As mentioned, the speed 3 obviously is faster but the sound that the engine makes is different. The close ratio gear box is freakin awesome. Steering wheel is smaller, and i find the seats actually fit me better then the one on the speed, but its to each of their own.

Driving wise, the 2 door is harder to see blind spots and harder for me to back in parking spots (the spoiler helps). The sport tune suspension is very sensitive and the car feels very agile. Overall after 40 km of driving today, i totally love it.
