Hi i just got the 2 boxes sent me today about that sport exhaust i ordered for my mazda 3 sedan. But i have a question i took it out of the box and i placed it all on the floor to try to assemble it quickly to see how to put everything together.

BUT....... it seems to me the 3 parts dont exactly join together....... like the holes where i should slot the 3 parts of the exhaust doesnt EXACTLY fit inside ......

i was wondering.... do i need to ADJUST this myself? As in heat it up and open it up a lil more where i see the 1 cutted fitting line on the exhaust?

Also one of the ends see a lil bit bent maybe when it was shipped over here it got bent....

Im assuming i have to somehow heat it up and adjust it a lil and then apply the clamps to hold it so it wont leak......

any helpful suggestions ?

this is a mazdaspeed part so shouldn't it fit exactly ? Would it have warpped a lil along the way while it was shipped because it got bumped around?

thanks!

Metal doesn't often warp...

Maybe post up the pics of your concerns.

Better yet come by the dealership and i'll have a look.

No problem man that's why I'm here. There are some flat spots on parts of the pipe that look like bends but are there for a reason.

yea well anyways i went to my mechanic to find out and he said yea it was a lil bent so he said to make it easier he just cut off a lil bit of where it connects and .....

wielded it all together...

he claims that if you just hold it tight together with bolts...... in the future if it rusts there could be a chance it would leak.

I haven't seen how it has been wielded.........heck who wants to bend or crawl down in this freezing cold anyways?

but so far it sounds VERY nice........ it's ALOT better then i thought....... definitely one of the BEST exhausts for this car and i highly recommend....

plus it's OEM with warranty!

So yea basically if anyone else has a problem like me then i think it would just be easier if you tell your mechanic to wield it.

I thought there was only warranty if the Mazda dealership installs it.

Not true, the part itself carries the 1 year/20,000km warranty. Any labour relating to the install elsewhere you are responsible for.

Oh gotcha. Not sure where I heard that from. Is this true for the other MS accessories?

It all depends on which part you're referring to.
