when it comes to cleaning my car, i only use products from Mothers or Meguiars... but i don't think they have a window cleaner for tinted windows. if they do, they don't sell it in my area.

what would be the best cleaner to use on my windows/tint?

thanks.

Hello,

Here is one suggestion: Stoners Invisible Glass.
One of our sponsors (EShine) carries this product.
http://www.eshine.ca/products.php?cat=24

I use it myself (I do not have tints though) on both the interior and exterior windows and it is amazing. Some people in the below-mentioned thread use it on their tinted cars as well. :)

*I am attempting to find the other threads, but for some reason I am not able to search for the simplest of words like "window", so I am forced to search by memory, which is not too easy if you know what I mean. :bang :complain (It's kind of like trying to multiply a 9 digit number with a 9 digit number by HAND.) I will add to the list as I retrieve more threads.*

Edit:
Some people in this thread have used Eagle 20/20.

Here is another thread with suggestions. A microfibre cloth with water tends to work too.

These are all the threads I can find so far. It is not much, but I hope this helps.:)

dont use any clening stuff on windows it will kill ur tint

just warm watter and soap
then wipe it down with paper towel
or best old news paper

I never belived in old newspapers, always thought they would not work but I can tell you they work the best. Definitely follow MPS advise on this.

old newspapers works great.

I use Stoner's Invisible Glass with a microfibre towel for windows (low plush/thickness).

On tint I use a soft rag, its still just a vinyl an can scratch with paper towel or newspaper, depending on texture etc. As MPS said warm water and soap on tint, use anything you'd like on your windshield, assuming its got no tint.

Even with window cleaners without ammonia?

I've been using Stoner's Invisible Glass and used it on my Tints with no adverse side effects for 2 years now....Its safe for tint as advertised. But I'll admit I spray a little on a micro fiber cloth than wipe the tinted windows.(I don't spray directly on the tint) ...just as a precaution.Stuff works amazing but you might find that two applications works best....You can also purchase Invisible Glass from Costco in bulk and its relatively cheap.

Glad I stumbled across this thread, as this is the first time I've had tints on my car windows, and didn't know I needed to use "special" cleaners on them. Good to know. Thanks!

Stoners is available at CT as well as Costco.

It's actually on sale at Costco right now.

Any window cleaner WITHOUT ammonia is safe for tint.

Would Windex Auto Cleaner be safe to use on tints?
