I recently purchased a used 2004 Mazda3 and have been looking for a place to take it for service. First I went to Agincourt Mazda because they were close to my house. I did not enjoy their service at all. So then I found out about this board and read lots of good reviews about Mazda of Toronto.

Yesterday morning, I dropped off my 3 to get the 1-2 Shift Shock TSB performed (basically a PCM flash - and it was out of warranty) and they were completely professional, from the time I made my appointment until they dropped me off at Finch Station. I felt totally confident leaving my car there. (On the flipside, Agincourt Mazda refused to even tell me how much the TSB would cost beforehand. Mazda of Toronto told me over the phone as soon as I asked!)

Stanley was my service advisor, and he is very good. He answers questions honestly and openly, and he doesn't pressure you to do anything after he gives you his report. I was very impressed.

During the day, Stanley touched base with me twice! Once to let me know that they are recommending a transmission flush and that they found a broken engine mount (which was covered under warranty! Yay!) and a second time to let me know when the car was ready and what time they close. This is exactly how things should work, yet sadly it happens so rarely.

I also contacted Joe from parts through this forum, and he went out of his way to talk to Stanley about me! Thanks so much Joe! (I picked up my car at like 6:15pm and wanted to say hi, but I must've just missed you)

All in all, Stanley and Joe are two class acts and I will definitely be driving the extra distance for their quality service from now on. Two thumbs up!

HORRAY FOR Mazda of TO. I agree that is how all dealerships should act and conduct them selves. How ever it doesn't happen enough.

Hahah - thanks for the advice. I will definitely steer clear of Ali then. Will try to go through Stanley as much as possible!

just called MoT today and Stanley no longer works there! Was able to speak to Vincent but after he heard I just wanted to schedule a regular maintenance he handed me off to a secretary so I really never got to speak to him much.

What are your thoughts of Markam Mazda?

Thanks Joe, I'm bringing my indigo blue 2005 Mazda3 Sport GT in for service around 9am. It's just going for regular tuneup, it's got a shave under 60,000 km on it and about a week left on the 3 yr warranty.

BTW, are you guys still doing a promo for $100 off a car alarm? Can you give a price quote for the kind of alarms you guys were promoting? Thanks.

As for Markham Mazda, I only bring my car there if it's an emergency (like when I jumped a curve and blew my tire) cause it's the closest, but I hate all their service managers and salespeople. They all seem really sneaky and not that customer oriented. I always get the feeling like I'm being lied to when I bring my car in for servicing. I don't think they operate by the same motto as MoT, which is treat the customer like they're #1, keep them happy so they'll keep coming back.

I am thinking of printing that on the back of my business card.

Thanks for the boost.

i've found markham mazda to be really good... eric in service has always done more than expected in customer service for me, i've taken my car there twice, once since i broke my strut mount and another cause i lost my keys, they drove me all the way to don mills and steeles and picked me up after... i initially called whitby mazda for the keys but they quoted me 300$ more than i paid, which i appreciate getting a better deal since i'm a student... with MoT, stanley and vincent have pretty much treated me just like i get treated at markham

My first visit to MoT was off a recommendation of a buddy of mine. I knew he had a MazdaSpeed and I just asked him if he could recommend me to anyone, and he suggested that I go see Jeff at MoT.

After looking at this forum, as well as RedFlagDeals, I found this guy named TheBiz and everyone was talking about him and how great he was to deal with. Sure enough, I made the connection that he was in fact the person my friend referred me to.

So I PM'd him on this forum to set up a meet date. I went in with a friend who wanted to come with me. When I arrived at MoT, he was already busy with another client, but surely, he greeted me and promptly asked me what car I wanted to test drive while we waited for him to finish up with his client. I always figured that the salesperson would ride with the buyer, but I thought it was cool that he had trust in us to test drive on our own.

We had a good discussion about what options there were, and he told me about all the warranties and stuff. It was very informative and he was straightforward and added his advice. Never felt pressured to do anything whatsoever!

In the end, I did buy my M3Sport from Jeff and haven't looked back. I love my car!

Jeff made the car buying experience one that was easy and enjoyable, and he made sure I knew what all my options were.

Thanks Jeff!

WOW... I should have read the forum before heading out there...

I've been to MoT before and dealt mainly with Stanley, and it was an amazing experience... never had a complaint, everything was by the book and he was so great at explaining EVERYTHING.

I brought my car in this past sat (April 5th) and dealt with Ali (for the first time), i was about to say that I'll never go back...

basically, Stanley gave me the impression he wants to help you... Ali was there because he got a cheque in the mail every 2 weeks. The attitude was complete opposite.

Next time i head over to MoT, i'm going to ask for the other fellow (Vincent, right?) by NAME...

I'm DEFINITLY staying away from ALI.

I don't think Stanley works at MofT anymore.

When I went recently there was a new older lady working behind the counter. She was very nice. They temporarily lost my car keys and she looked as though she was going to cry until finally we found them in a tech's hand attached to a wrong work order in the back.
