Maybe Joe at MOT can quote a price for these items and weather it will
fit the MS3. I don't mind just getting the shifter.

Not 100% sure if the MS MX-5 ebrake cover fits but then again anything is possible. I know Momo makes the covers too. How do those fit over the stock ebrake?

Is the MS short shifter for the speed3 as well? Anyone know about the ebrake cover? 120 for a know seems a little pricey

Here is the list of Mazdaspeed parts with the new price as of Nov. 22/07. Taxes extra.
MS Short shift kit - $165.60
MS Carbon fibre like rear view mirror cover - $84.00
MS Real carbon fibre shift knob for M/T and A/T - $120.00

Well the shifter assembly for the MS3 and the regular 3 are the same. The MS accesory list says that the S/S will fit the regular 3 so I would say yes.

Really? I thought TWM had to release a MS3 specific SS as the one they had for the 3 didn't work...

is it just like the tvm and cuts the stock down a bit or is it a real sts?

Someone with a MS S/S chime in here.:)

that'd be great... from what i understand the TVM isn't what i want (basically a hacked down lever). So choices seem to be the MS one which i don't currently know anything about or the Cobb STS if and when it comes out

Its not as short as the TWM and the reduction is not as dramatic. It has a lean to it which makes it feel more driver oriented. Overall, I really like mine. Not as sloppy as the stocker, and it looks good.

i'll probably hold out for the COBB ss & do a Spec stage3 clutch at the same time.... waiting for my clutch to burn out.... what's takin so long??

if anyone has a link or write-up comparing the MSP and TWM short shifters, please post. UU, i think you're right.... these seem to be the only two brands available for our cars right now. maybe i'll drop a line w/ COBB and check on their ETA.... they're supposedly developing a new unit with two points of adjustability, but they said that almost a year ago on their forums.

dealer says the 3 won't fit the mps given it doesn't say that it does in the literature but he isn't 100% certain

man, this is screwed. i'm reading compatibility issues on other MS forums as well.. needless to say, i wouldn't buy Mazda's ss ... esp when dealer's parts tells me it'll fit 100%. you think they'd know above anyone else.

TWM's ss reduces shift throw by 10% more (compared to MS... jury's out on MS3 fitment:loco); about $150 more for TWM's (w/ bushings); currently back-ordered via TWM. any GB's goin on for this shifter?

That's why I'm not saying it will fit or not. The shifter mechanism is the same as the regular 07 3. So does someone want to be a guinea pig?

McGuyver aka Dan offered to test the MS ss fitment (his 3GT to mine). thought about it, appreciated it, but think i'm gonna go the TWM route once they're in stock. COBB ss won't be happening anytime soon from what i'm hearing. TWM: shorter throws than MS, lifetime warranty, positive reviews.

why don't you just take an axe to your stock one and save some money? i don't like how twm knows the speed3 is more popular so our unit costs $100 more than the speed6 one does

REZXPERT

last time i took an axe to something was to the lowering springs on my 85 prelude. result: bad back, worse experiment.

i'll try to get in touch w/ TWM & inquire about the price difference between the MS3 & MS6's. i'll let you know.

My bad, I didn't look into the deals thread.
