Hey Guys,
Sort of new around here as I havent had the car long and as you can see havent posted much.. but I will now...
Anyway, I got a MS3 and all I have done is installed a Injen intake on the car, I have had the recalls done on the vehicle. What I have been getting is a fuel cut off when Im at WOT over 3000 RPM... (1 out of every 6 times) it is terrible as you can imagine. I got an engine light and took it to the dealer and $100 later (not going back to that dealer) they told me it a Mass Air flow sensor, but because I put the intake on car it voids the warranty.. They said put it back to stock and bring it back....
Anybody had this problem? Any info would be great...
Thanks...
T

Not sure how the wires are on the MS3, but make sure there's enough slack on the wires connecting to the MAF.

you get ur fuel cut fixed and keep ur CAI if you want
but ur CAI is not the problem

Makeit

so what you are saying is that is a problem with the car... and if I put it back to stock I will get the same problem..

See I put the CAI on after about 1000km of driving and only have 6 on it now.... so it might have happened, but I never really got into it, when I first got it...

so I guess it is fuel cut off.. and a lot of people are getting this, I am learning...

What ever you do I guess is just to cure this problem, any other advantages.. and is it permanent fix...

is that speed3? u don't need to pull bumper out for that. Regular3 does.

even if you take the CAI off chances are dealer won't find ur problem
and send you on ur way home

read that CPE fix this may work but will give problems in the long run
it just kills the MAF and after some time the engine lite comes on
if you want to try the CPE way ur welcome to do that
if not come see me and ill have this taken care of with in 3 hours

if you dont pull the bumper how are you going to get the filter you ?
unless you got a hoist

Causing not enough air to get into the motor and the ecu is noticing that there is not enough air causing the CEL, finaly cause fule cut. They had to enlarge the holes so it opened up more and cleared fault and no more problems to speak of at this point." just found somewhere. may help.:loco

Anybody have a contact at a dealer or tech that will test the car with the Injen to repair it.. without having to take the unit off.... Im in the industry, but I don't work for Mazda, and never had a problem with my Miata for the 4 years I had with adding boost..
That is why this car is just buggin me so much
