I bought a 2008 Mazdaspeed3 nearly two weeks ago. I want to get some rubber mats for it. I'm considering either the stock Mazda 3 all weather mats or these WeatherTech mats (http://www.weathertechcanada.com/store/mvproduct.aspx?ItemGroupId=3&VehId=1151&Year=2008). However I'm not sure if the WeatherTech's will fit a Speed3. Does anyone know if they fit, or will I have to do some trimming?

So it sounds as though the WeatherTechs won't fit the Speed3, at least not without some surgery on the mat.
I guess I'll go with the Mazda 3 all weather mats then.
Thanks.
there is ms3 all weather mat, little different than the mazda3's, dealer gave me for free when i pick the car yesterday(but they only came with 2 front, has Mazdaspeed logo). if u wanna buy, price maybe $100 after tax (thats what they told me)

i got the mazda 3 winter mats at MoT, they fit well in the speeds and i think it looks nicer since it says mazda on it... i think i paid just under 100 for all 4 mats so its also cheaper

There is an MS3 rubber all weather mat? Are you sure? I haven't come across any. Everywhere I've looked I've just seen the Mazda 3 mats, and people have told me that they fit the MS3 fine.
Also, while I'm at it, where is the hook thingee that hooks onto the hole in the mat to keep it from moving around? My MS3 doesn't seem to have one. Just a narrow opening in the carpet where I assume the hook should be.

Jason, you can get the hook from the dealer. It should have been there. If I'm not mistaken, they're put in during the PDI and sometimes get forgotten.

Does anyone have a pic of what this hook looks like? I did find a thing in the centre cup tray that I originally thought had fallen off of the cup tray door or something, but it doesn't appear to attach on to anything there. So I'm guessing that it could be the mat hook, and the dealer forgot to install it.
WW is right, they should do that at PDI. go and ask dealer to inst for u otherwise tell me you gonna post their name on TM3, they must do that to you.:chuckle
oopps. wrong..."......otherwise tell them......"

If this thing that I found in my cup holder is the mat hook, could I just install it myself?

Here is a pic of the hook-like thingee I found in my Speed3's centre cup holder. Sorry for the crappy quality of the pic, I don't have a digital camera handy so I had to hold it in front of my laptop's webcam and take a screenshot.
So is this thing the mat hook? If so, can I install it myself or is it something the dealer has to do? Any instructions online on how to install it?

Let's see some pics! And these are rubbers ones? not the carpeted ones w/ the red stitching?

When I bought my MS3 they threw in the normal Mazda 3's all season mats and they fit perfectly. Most of the MS3 is the exact same as the normal 3, anyway.

Yeah this is news to me too. I should know since I'm always on the ball with these things.:)
Mazda only sells the Mazda 3 logo AWM.
