Hey guys! I'm interested in buying a Mazdaspeed 3 Exhaust for my GT and I want to know if it will be an easy swap from the stock exhaust to the MS3 exhaust? Is the piping the same? Will I have to make any modifications? If someone could please shed some wisdom about this issue, I would greatly appreciate it.
Thanks

No, it's not the same and you'll have to make modifications...

It require's cutting the stock system and clamping the stock converter on the MS system.

I need to make modifications even if I'm putting the exhaust on the GT hatch?

The only modification is the cutting of the stock cat to mate with the new MS system. You could always opt for a high flow aftermarket cat instead of cutting.

just a note if you do this...the stock mazdaspeed3 system on a mazda3 is quite loud. if that's your thing, then by all means go for it...
MattC can attest to how loud it is...

Well I Recentally Purchased a Mazda Speed Exhaust for My 07 Sedan off a TM3 Member it basically brand New and Im Putting it on Feb 8th along with getting the car lowered and the new rims put on. From My Understanding the Speed Exhaust will have to be Cut 3 Times then lengthened to fit The Sedan. Street performance is charging 120$ for the install. If U Want i Can Give U Their Number.
