'Read this on another forum.... what do you think? FYI, someone at Forge posted this..... so don't know how much fact can be separated from sales pitch/stock fear mongering:
"The factory valve leaks. With our valve the leak is eliminated. The hesitation is caused by one of two things: fuel-cut due to MAP values or inadequate flow from the OEM fuel pump. Going back to stock doesn't fix the problem, it just masks the issue with another problem. Which is a loss of boost through the OEM valve. Which costs you power and reduces the life of your turbo and can increase intake temps which can in turn lead to detonation or timing being pulled which cean lead to higher EGTs which can warp valve seats an kill cats..."

More people seem to get backfires and other harmfull side effects with the forge installed then with the stock bpv. I would be warry of any manufacturer claims like these, they didn't post and real data to validate their claims

Try getting a TurboSmart BPV reciculation unit was designed specifically for the speed 2.3 disi should notice a big improvement in how quick it releases pressure and also holds boost.

Does not matter what year it is, as long as manufacturer makes plastic BOV's they will be prone to leaking and cracking due to high under hood temperatures and not capable of holding boost!
