1.jak up one side
2.removed 3 screws on both front edge of the cover below the fog light.
3.now you can tear down ( not totally removed) the black plastic cover hold by those screws.
4.inst the HID, i rest the blaster in the front bumper with double side tape, so u can too.
5.repeat for another side.
6.test the light, if everything works fine, jak down ur ride.

because its too simple, thats why no one write it up.

i tried, but the wires are not long enought tho. inside the bumper should be ok, theres cover all over the buttom and the shape is like a bowl alike, water should be hard to getin there, or water will flew out very quick, the blaster is weather proof anyway.:chuckle

Based on your username, I'm guessing you have an 04? If so, you'll also need to remove those black metal caps which cover the fog light bulbs.

That part is a PITA!

They use H7 for lowbeams and H11 for fogs.

Is removal of the metal cap necessary? Or would it just screw up your light pattern if you leave it in?

You have to remove it. The HID bulb won't fit with the cap.

There are members that didn't have to remove the metal reflector in order to install the HID...
BUT there are ones who have and the glare is pretty noticeable without the piece in.

may be that metal cap is close end and too short for HID buble?

Ya, but if I remember correctly, they had to bend the prong on the HID bulb to make it fit. I wouldn't feel comfortable modifying the bulb, especially that tiny wire.

Sorry to raise this one from the dead but for those of you who have done this, how did you go about removing the cap?

Don't remove the cap because the fogs will produce a lot of glare.

I suggest bending the angle of glare cap down so the bulb still fits. Use a pair of needle nose pliers and gently make small adjustments to the angle.

The bulb will screw in perfectly at the correct cap angle.

PS. One of the glare caps in my fog came unscrewed and just sat in the light housing for a few months. There's no way to reinstall it without opening the housing. I ended up buying another fog light to fix the problem.
