Well, they've finally released it. Just waiting on pricing confirmation, but I'll be bringing in one to show around and either sell to the first person with the cash or put on my own car :)

Good news for those of you with either stock down pipes or upgraded 3" downpipes, this unit will hook up to both, so no need to buy a "kit" with that in it.

Only thing you'd really need is the upgraded inlet pipe since this Turbo has a 4" inlet compared to the stock 2".

Of course I'm gonna bring in one of those as well :)

***UPDATE***

Looks like pricing will be $1850 + taxes Canadian for this at current conversion rates.

Let me know if you're interested, stuff in this price range gets brought in one at a time :)

Not planning on going extra boost, just extra flow, Dyno'd 370's WHP on the test vehicle at 18PSI. Should be around 340ish at 15PSI.

NOt 100% sure on that.... Think they had TBE, the ATP Intake and maybe even their FMIC..... It was the ATP test car after all :)

Wow, can't wait to see some figures on that thing! Dang!

They seemed to have delayed this quite a while, I'm thinking it was because of fitment issues on the exhaust side, which is why they ended up going with a stock fitting exhaust hookup.

can you break down the technical/dyno data differences between the different ATP kits? GT3071R vs 3076R vs 35R vs 2871R ? are the other three still in R&D?

by the way, Pat, this is two years ahead of my scheduled turbo upgrade so i trust your price point will be in the $1000 range. thanks.

that would be doable but this will proablly be much higher..... is it true or my bad memory, does the atp inlet not work with the cobb sri?

Interesting.
But I think I will enjoy more being under warranty for awhile.

where did you hear this?? good thing my CP-E CAI will never sell.

This is the only one currently released. It has a lower efficiency PSI range than the 3076, but the 3076 would not spool until around 4750 - 5250, which is way too late for our redline. Also, by lower efficiency range I mean 22-24 PSI vs. 26-28 PSI, and which of us is really going to go that high??

The 2871, is closer to stock, so for those of you who are a little tamer, you might feel more comfortable with that one...... However, the trick with any Turbo upgrade is the tune..... You can just as easily blow an engine with a K03 as you can with a 3076 with an incorrect tune.

Which is another thing..... Whenever doing something like this, have it properly tuned, and feel free to tell the guys doing it you want a conservative tune if you want, and ask them to pressure test the wastegate before they put it on the car :)

Not cheap, but it is a custom Turbo housing.

here's a question: the AccessPORT's initial release map for Speed3 lists Stage 2+ mods as "COBB SF Intake + FMIC (turbo-back exhaust, COBB SF Intake, and COBB FMIC, otherwise stock)". is that to say their initial release AP won't have a big turbo upgrade map or am i missing something here?

Nope, not missing a thing.

I doubt they'll ever release a "Big Turbo" map, they'll rely on tuned maps by their tuning partners. Just too many variables to release a map like that.

So how much in total it would cost to get the turbo, installed, tuned, and you're car is running like it should?

Install shouldn't be too much, probably 3-3 hours labor.

Tuned is the tricky part right now, you'd obviously need something to tune, either a piggyback or a programmer, like the Cobb AP. Kit should run with the stock computer though. I'd recommend an upgraded fuel pump though :)

Pat, mark me down as interested & tentatively committed.... but i need to do some further research, ie, ancillary costs for mods like upgraded fuel pumps & the like. i'd prefer not to be the guinea pig here...... would that be you??
