Yeap Its a sport I believe the color is galaxy grey mica or something its confusing but yeah its the dark color something "mica".

Its such a sweet ride. Im still breaking in the engine. So far after 1600kms in two weeks and HALF I pushed it to 160 once and have only gone up to 6k rpm once.

Im letting it go to 2000+ kms to start playing with the gas pedal hehe

I hope that the 160km/h was on a closed track because we at TorontoMazda3.ca frown on speeding on public streets and highways.

and the colour, if it is the darker grey it is Carbon Grey.

Welcome to the forum. I also live in Milton. I'm sporting a 06 Velocity Red Mica Sedan. Make sure to check out our Oakville meet every other Thursday.

x2 so does the governemnt as anything over 150 is a big fine and your car gets impounded

That government takes enough from us. Don't let them take your car as well over a few moments of an adrenaline rush.

you guys are all right. It has only happened once really and It won happen that often sicne I completelly agree that is not worth it. It actually happened for a brief second when I was trying to follow the lead car on our way to Toronto. Once I realized how fast I was going I let it go.

Im sure there is a forum here about performance and this question has been answered more than once but here it goes if you don't want to reply that is ok.

How dificult is it to convert a GT 2.3l to the turbo version

besides the actual transmission change to the 6 gear intercooler, turbo pipes what else must change?

yeah thing is its what, 10000 more? I could have leased it for sure or finance it witha cosigner but I didnt want to do that.

I really just wanted to own my own car without involving anyone else. So yeah im hapy with the financial decision I made. My idea is not changing the car or modifying it for at least three years exceept for the usual oil change and whatnot. Im trying to get the best I can fr the car right now.

But eventually Im sure that making a Speed setup properly will be less than the 10,000 difference that I would have paid for a Speed3 right now. Altough ive been reading about some insurance issues

i would think the speed 3 has different internals in the motor as well as all the other stuff you mentioned..... if you want a turbo, the easiest way is to get a speed 3 which would be all warrantied, turboing your car will void your warranty for sure

In that "10000" price difference, the MS3 comes with I believe every option available to the MZ3 as stock. Also get the 18's, Z rated tires, 6 speed manual, and brakes that can actually handle the power of a turbo. If you properly rebuild your engine to be able to handle a turbo reliably, it will cost more than $10,000.

Edit: $25,790 MSRP for mazda 3 hatch with GT and luxury, $31,095 for the MS3. Looks like the only things the loaded MZ3 gets that the MS3 doesn't is the moonroof and leather. Personally, I wouldn't want those options anyway.
