Just cause we have projectors does not mean the light is going to be aimed properly.
It depends on the colour temperature we get.

blue light bends more than red.
As a result, the higher colour temperature K you go, the light will become more scattered (since it isn't aimed properly; i.e. projector housing designed for a specific colour temperature).
Example: see the Lexus picture at: http://www.intellexual.net/hid.html (from the HID sticky).

The chart on that link says that 6500K is "pale white". I find 6500K to be a lot bluer than that. 5000K is more pale white IMO.
So technically 6000k should reflect lower than 5000k? hmmmm less likely to blind other drivers or potential cruisers :p

i just find that the same "K"s look totally different if made by different manufacturers

lol.. we wish. Its 5K that glares less. But 6K doesn't glare much, at least not based on meets.
The following is a hypothsis, not sure if its true (but makes sense)
Our halogen projectors are made to reflect light between yellow and white (according to the colour chart). So the more blue we go (the higher the temp), the more glare that will come out of the projector housing.

I have 6000k looks really great. Starts of as purple, then blue and finally the pure white once lit. I also find that mines are more brighter then 4300k from other cars, while still maintains sharp cut off with minimum glare (helps to see signs better). So definately 6000k for me.
Also I heard that Mazda3 lenses projects wider beam comparing to other projectors, is that true?

Your 6000K is for sure not as "bright" as 4300K. It appears brighter to your eyes if you look at it directly. But if you sit inside both cars, you'll see that 4300K gives you a better look of the road at night.
I'm not sure about the 2nd part of your Question.
