Well it's about time. I remember getting a set of projector headlamps for my Civic a few months after the 99 bodystyle came out.
No love for hatch owners.

keep in mind that the projector is probably crappier then the stock ones. Meaning cut off will be sh*tty

Good Point!!! I wonder how the cutoff is. More importantly I wonder if it doesn't shake like stock.

i would imagine its pretty much a stock headlight, with an installed angel eye...
From the looks of it, yea. It'd be nice to get a picture of the back of the housing to see the back of the project to see if it has a cutoff like the stock housing.

Agreed!
Wishful thinking: would love to see someone make something like this using the stock xenon HIDs (or a reasonable facimile) that are coming with the new 2008.5 Sport:hawt
That being said, anyone know if those stock HIDs could be ordered to replace the halogens in an 07-08 hatch and, if so, what Mazda would charge for em?

Soon pics of the cutoff but,
as far as the projectors, unfourtunately, i dont think they're quite as good as the oem ones.

Thread Necromancing, but I just picked these up...should be installed by the end of next week. It looks almost identical to the stock OEM headlight.

Can you take a picture of the back? I've contemplated getting these. I'm wondering if they have the same "jiggle" issue as stock.

I will when I get back from MTL on Monday...I've never had a "jiggle" issue with my headlights.
Sometimes the 04-06 models that didn't originally have HIDs and then installed HIDs hand issues with "jiggle" under the cutoff in the beam pattern when there were vibrations in the road such as bumps and expansion joints. The actual housing isn't fully secured to the point where it won't move so jiggling occurs. It happens with stock bulbs too but is more noticible with aftermarket HIDs.
Yah I had that problem on my '04 but mind you most of it was caused from the suspension. I cant say I have had that problem anymore in my '08.

Looks good...I am wondering if the bulb housings are the same? I have HIDS that I wouldn't want to lose.
Any more pics?

FIT: 2004 -2008 MAZDA 3 4DR/SEDAN (HALOGEN TYPE ONLY)
DO NOT FIT : MAZDA3 4DR/SEDAN W/ FACTORY HID/XENON KIT & 5DR HATCHBACK
I have to assume that they are still using H7 for the low beams. It says plug and play for OEM halogens so you should be good Gabe. I would double check for sure though.
Anyone in for a GB on these? :chuckle
:gone
If the group buy gets em to an even better price I might be in.

Just wondering how long these angel eyes would stay working. I had angel eyes on my 6 and there was constantly something wrong with it. Had to fix it time after time. Maybe these ones are more stable and installed better?

why not? You would just install your HID's as normal.

To be honest, I dont really know :S I'm just going off the requirements here:
FIT: 2004 -2008 MAZDA 3 4DR/SEDAN (HALOGEN TYPE ONLY)
DO NOT FIT : MAZDA3 4DR/SEDAN W/ FACTORY HID/XENON KIT & 5DR HATCHBACK
Is there a difference in the housing?

Has nothing to do with the HIDs on your car, but I am pretty sure that any 07/08 that has OEM HIDs will be out of luck as well, because the Ballast for the OEMs are in the existing headlight assembly... IIRC
