Driving home in Brampton on West Drive, this little old man failed to stop at a red light at the intersection to get into Jack asters

He decides to try and complete the corner (North onto west drive from the plaza) RIGHT in front of me. I Hit the brakes, the ABS starts going (middle of snow storm.

I say a few choice words, realizing there is a snowballs chance in hell that i'll stop in time. 40 km/h.... 30.... 20... .10.... Theres hope. *BUMP*

I come to a stop abruptly. I Put on the 4-ways Turn off the car (Didn't stall it!) Get out.... as the 4"8 60 year old asian man comes out. I push the car back (Neutral, no e-brake on)

NO DAMAGE! I took down his plate anyway, took a picture with my cell, and we were on our merry way.

The only thing that happened was the front grill was "out of alignment" i.e. the bolt holes have some play. I fixed it. No cracks, foam is fine, everything is alright.

So uneventful, why post it?

Because the only thought that was going through my mind was "MY POOR BABY!!!!!" (talking about the car) No life flashing, no freaking out... Only worrying that i was about to destroy my car!

I realized later the only thing that saved me, was that i hit is spare tire. It was a Honda CRV, with the rear mounted spare on the tailgate. Woot!

The grill has a single scuff. I think i'll get it replaced. :-D Gotta love excuses to buy new stuff.

Totally lucked out. Lucky week for me too - Lost my brand new HTC Touch under a 40 foot snowbank at work (was pushing my buddys car out of a drift in the parking lot... then the plow came to "help"

Construction crew found it intact and 100% operational 3 days later! Horseshoes up my butt this week!
