I was thinking of getting the self applied headlight and foglight clear protection film online but then I got to thinking how likely is it that a rock chip flies up and smashes the headlight / foglights?

Sounds gimmicky. I doubt a film could protect a heavy hit from a stone.

No, but I counted over 200 I patched on my hood already. My car isn't even at 15,000 kms yet. Although 6000kms of that was all winter highway driving with salt all over everything. Another 3000 salty highway kms on the long week end. =)

That would be great if you could put a "mommy" windshield and a "daddy" windshield together to get one of those. That would save a lot of hassle when it comes to getting a new rain sensing windshield.

I've been wanting to get this done too. My Mom has it done on her SUV. When I got my clear bra done they only did the top of the hood and the fenders. Anybody know how much it costs to do the headlights and front bumper?
