I believe it's Hitachi KT04.
But Mazda don't call it that, they have their own part number since it's their own proprietary item.

can upgrade for gt3071r with stock internal...? when we buy this turbo what hells is needed?

Every aftermarket turbo setup I have seen has blown even fully built motors within a few months. I wouldn't get anything other than a re-worked stock T04 turbo. Re-worked ones are supposed to have 28psi compressors in it or something.

I thought we have the old KKK K04 turbo's, aren't they made by Borg Warner now? Maybe Hitachi I suppose.

Even with all that, they have still all blown. It's all a matter of a few months.
