We seem to have a good portion of members online at any given time...
What about having a chat section. Not a forum but some kind of chat room that we could have on the website for registered members?
What do you guys think? Would it be hard to setup?

We had a chat on my last forum. Basically it was Java based but then we movid it to an IRC setup. It was fun for a while and people were interested but it died off and only was busy once in a while. It might be busy all the time on this board though...
There is also a lot more opportunity for misuse and stuff like that.

I just always notice two.. three,... sometimes 4 LINEs of usernames online at one time on the forum.. consistantly.. so thought it would be a cool feature to have.. maybe worth giving a shot.

We used to have that, but it was quickly misused.

See how they all went downhill?
Maybe the idea can be brought up again, but I don't know whether it will be implemented, especially based on past experiences.:whoa
I like the chatroom idea, But it should automatically sign you in as your username registered under the board.

had this on the TorontoAccords website too and it died off pretty quickly (within days actually) and this forum is of similar size. Hard to say if it actually works. I would be down if we had one though.

You can add a shoutbox that needs the registered user to login and such. Latest version is vbShout 2.1
