where would you find the AUX input in a 2004 mazda 3

It would be behind the radio. There are some DIY's that show you how to take off the dash top and take out the radio. You can find the input there.

I think he might be asking where the actual aux input is - like in the 07-08 cars. In 2004, there is no aux input. You have to buy the aux input separately and connect it to the back of the head unit. The input on the head unit is like a circuit board input.
