Hello and wow ... this looks like a great online community, and I can't wait to get more involved!
I'll do a little introduction I suppose...
I'm a 22y/o student studying at the University of Toronto.. I'm doing an eclectic mix (career counselor's words, not mine) of economics and physics, with a mathematics minor. I guess I have a belief that the best way to understand anything is to immerse yourself in the theory behind it all and I figured physics is the fundamentals of how our world works and economics is the fundamentals of how our country/businesses work =)
I have aspirations to do my CFA once I graduate and dip my toes into finance. Equity research/asset management, I'm not sure what exactly yet - but no iBanking as I'm not cut out for that stressful life.
In the next couple of months I am going to buy a used '04 Mazda 3 hatch. I originally am a Honda guy, K20 hitting vtec is just music to my ears. But snap back to reality, any car with an H badge has ridiculous insurance premiums and I just can't afford that. So I turned my eyes to this little Axela. Built in Japan, handles sweetly, hatch swallows it all - with some torque to boot, AND lower insurance rates.. I think I've found the one.
It appears most 04s are coming off least now, and I can snag one for ~10k and under 100k km.. which is a nice compromise for me (an integra GSR costs the same for a much older and way more mileage).
I'm unfamiliar with the trims, I guess I'll have to search to find it... but the main thing I'm looking for is a 5spd, 5dr, with a moonroof. I see GX, GS, GT, i, s.... it's giving me all a headache but I'm sure I'll figure it out. Leather would be nice too - but not essential.
Anyway I should stop talking, and I applaud any member that has read this far - a little too lengthy for an internet post of today... but I can't wait to get my feet wet.!
cheers
