Hey guys,

When i shift it kinda of feels a little "rough" going from gear to gear. I dont really know how to explain it but its like the shifter is a little loose and it bounces back and forth hitting things going from gear to gear. It also hard to shift from 5 to 2 is that just because of the speed?

Sorry for my non technical lingo im still trying to learn all this stuff lol

Thanks guys

from 5 to 2? why would you want to do that? did you give gas before you shift to 2nd?

i dont mean coming from the engine i mean in the shifting mechinism it self, would a TWN short shifter help my problem?

if im going 70 in forth or fifth i usually rev to about 4000 or 4500 rpms before releasing the cluth, downshifting is super smooth engine wise, but the feel of the shifter feels loose and doesnt wanna go rate into gear.

why would i wanna do that, well sometime i get stuck behind people on on-ramps going onto the highway at 70, and oviously i would stay in 2nd going 70 for a long period of time, so i down shift and blow by them once I get on the highway, i also like the acceleration of the car :)

well i mean giving gas doesn't mean its related to the engine. What i'm trying ask is if you gave it gas because if you do'nt give gas the gears wo'nt mesh in properly and it will feel crunchy. (well at least my car is like that)

Also a short shifter does help because i felt the same way on my tranny and after the SS it did feel and help a lot. Less crunchy feeling and smoother shifts.

ok cool thanks for the help i was just makin sure nothing was loose and gunna come apart on me. There nothing that can be tightened/greased to make it a little bit more smoother??

it also maybe just me being over sensitive lol

a weighted knob helps too. especially with SS
