Engine running lean??

I've noticed that the inside of my muffler is pretty black. Doesn't this mean that the engine is running too lean??

its normal , its just carbon build up , all cars get it , especially if you have an aftermarket or altered exhaust

My Probe GT that had headers, cai and exhaust didn't have carbon like this. Could it be because of having a turbo?

i think all speeds are running too rich, mine is really bad, i dont have too many chance to rev up over 4000, if you can keep rev up 5000, that build up will be much much less. my old mz3 is clean.
