Hey guys,

I had a little issue yesterday and well sort of f***ed up my stock exhaust:bang on the car. Back into a spot where the curb was a little higher then I had thought and the exhaust has been pushed in approx 2-3" and the tip is now off to one side. I was hoping to hold off on getting a cat back for the car... but I will know for sure if it is going to need to be replaced this weekend once I get it up on a lift *I will get some pix up when I can* I think there is a hole in the exhaust piping from the kink that is now there, as the car sounds a little deeper then it did before not to mention the beautiful rattle I get when idling... needless to say im kind of pissed about it.. but oh well....

So the big question becomes.... do I go vibrant or do I go mazdaspeed?? I know both have their benefits.... but not sure what it's going to end up costing me to get the mazdaspeed one on the car... the vibrant I can jack up and do myself...... so guys/girls... your input would be most appreciated!!

Will

You can find some opinions here. This thread compares the vibrant and mazdaspeed exhaust.

I think they both sound pretty decent, i guess it depends as you said, on how much it'll cost you to get the MS on your car. I do like the bolt on aspect of the vibrant though.

Sucks on what happened but... i guess destiny wants you to have a loud car Will :chuckle

ya man I guess so... :chuckle Kind of upsetting as the plan was to lower the car first.. then worry about exhaust... but I guess getting noise tickets is just my destiny

thanks mgm... I'll have a look at that thread... and take it from there

the mazdaspeed has a drone to it at highway speeds. it's liveable, and i think it sounds pretty good otherwise.

If you're not to anal about the droning sound when cruising at hwy speeds, I'd vote for the speed exhaust. I personally don't mind it or think it's as bad as what others have said.If you're a serious audio guru then it may become bothersome. If not, after awhile you would get used to the sound and it won't really be too noticable.

after the drone and noise that my civic makes.... i think i'll be able to live with the drone of the mazdaspeed exhaust....

Aren't they both bolt on? or are you talking about the stock mazdaspeed3 exhaust?

I love my speed exhaust. I probably could have installed it myself, but I'm lazy.
Yes it does drone a bit, but you get used to it. I like the almost stock look as well.

I'd say Mazdaspeed3 exhaust. I know its not one of your options...but cheapest, sounds good, some performance.

i'd go for Vibrant. if you have CAI, Vibrant will sound the best plus they are full SS.
