I just got the TurboXS catless DP (the stock mid-pipe still has a cat). There's an O2 sensor before and after the first cat on the stock DP, on the TXS there's just the bungs but no cat. I know that theres a 95% chance my car will throw a CEL, but I just want to know if anyone has experience with this. Will it mess up my mileage or A/F ratios? How much approx. would it cost to get a high flow cat welded into it?

I thought the bungs were there to eliminate the CEL light because u have no cat in the DP....

From what I was told, there was an O2 before and one after the first cat. Normally, with a cat in there, they would both pick up different readings the computer sees as fractions of a volt. If they aren't in their normal difference range, it will throw a CEL saying something is wrong with the cat. I just want to know if it is possible that it will mess with the A/F ratio, screwing around with the car's mpg. I don't care about the CEL, I'll just tell the dealer I know what it is and not to check the code for me on my next oil change.

I'm putting my DP in tomorrow. CTA Pat put his in a day or two ago and he said so far no CEL. Looking better.
