Hi Guys, I am new to the forum and also to M3. I am having a very big problem with my m3 A/C, it's not cooling when it 25 out side. I am not getting the cold air like other cards, smaller cars of cours. I took it to the dealership last week and they replaced the O-ring and pump new gas. I am still experenicing the same problem. When the AC is on engine make some crazy noise, and lots of wind noise as well. I am taking it back next week again.

I think I made a mistake by perchasing M3, I had problems with the delaership allready, they are terible.Agincourt Mazda. I went to the dealership 5 times so far. Anyone else having the AC issue or problem with the dealership.

Try going to Scarborough Mazda. I bought my '08 Mazdaspeed 3 from them and have had nothing but stellar service. Also, I have no problem with my A/C at all. I tried it out for the first time last week and I got freezing cold air literally 2 seconds after I turned it on. It really surprised me, every other car I've been in, it takes at least a minute or two to cool down.

Is all the Mazda dealership covers the warranty or is it just where you perchase the car

I've had bad experience with Againcourt too and thats why I didn't buy my Mazda 3 there. I'm still waiting for my 3 and I hope I don't experience that problem.

The factory warranty as well as Extended Warranty is honoured by all Mazda Dealers in North America.

So take your pick.

Thanks Guys, I will change the dealership ASAP. All of them in the Agincourt mazda are jokers and liars. I spent 35K on my mazda 3 and got the extra warranty also. I have 2500 Km and not happy with the car, specially the service. May be I should write to mazda directly to let them know about these issues. What do you think?

A/C is a big problem as summer is around the corner, do you think I will loose lots of money if I sell the car?

You'll get killed if you sell the car so soon after taking it off the lot.

^Do a search on Autotrader.ca for the same car that you have purchased.

Hope your issues get resolved quickly. It sure is a disheartening experience to go through after buying a new car.

Our cars are not known for the strongest A/C units on the market for the car size. Given that some people have complained about the strength of the air coming out. Make sure that when you turn the A/C on that you close the vents that bring the air in from outside. This helps the unit cool the car quicker by recirculating the already cool air in the car. Once you've reached the desired temp, open the vents to the outside and allow air into the car cabin.

If the air coming in through the vents is warm then it's definitely and issue the unit and should be fixed by the dealership. When the A/C comes on it's normal to expect the engine to come down in revs slightly. But I don't know about the "horrible noise" you're referring to.

I wonder if this noise you're hearing is the belt squeaking, or bearing?

It's always awful to find you have a problem with a brand new car. Sounds like something was not right when your car left the factory.

You can take your car anywhere you wish for service however since Agincourt has already looked at it and you are unhappy with their service, you can try to speak to the service manager and see if they can try to resolve the problem.

Sometimes all it takes is going up one level.

Agincourt has not had the best record for service however try the escalation process first before trying another dealership and or going all the way to Mazda Canada. I'm sure Agincourt has a vested interest in trying to resovle the probelm to your satsifaction.

I've had greif their too off and on and have spoken to both the dealer principal and business manager and obtained resolution.

I am very upset bacuse they didn't belived me when I said AC is not up to standard. I give them one more chance to be real proffesinals.

About the noise maybe it's the belts, if the bearings make the noise is it bad for the engin?

I find it hard to believe that you addressed a complaint, and yet have not yet spoken to a supervisor yet?!

Didn't the dealer do a vent temperature check?
My dealer did it when I complained about what I thought was a weak A/C
mine was 51F they say it is within specs, the check was done in a garage,no sun etc. Good luck when its really hot, humid,
vent temp of 51F will have a hard time cooling the car..

What kind of noise was it? Did you hear the A/C compressor cycling on and off? Could be too much freon in the system. You might need to take it back and have them check it again.

Let me add some insight to this, and the problem I had just now. Girlfriend complained the A/C is blowing hot air.. So I bought one of those DIY R12a refill kits (R12a... thats an "a" at the end, not regular old R12) is cross mixable with R12 and R134a. Anyway, it came with a pressure gauge. I hooked the gauge on the low side and it was well below recommended pressure... so I added one can, then decided to go for two.. BIG mistake.. over pressurized the system and it shut down... so I had to release a hell of a lot of gas, almost seemed to be more than I put in. Since I did that, all the oil came out too, and stupid me didn't decide to fill it back up.. so I overheated the compressor. The compressor was always on the noisy side, but now its a bit more "whiney" Oh.. I added oil by the way... Besides the whiney compressor (hoping it doesn't go on her on her way to work right now.. lol) its nice and cold... like I don't think anyone will complain about how cold it is. So maybe your systems are low like hers was? Or maybe the spec is under filling the systems.. I'm not sure... not a refrigeration mechanic.

Slash... If I were you, I would just boycott Agincourt... why the heck should you waste your time going up a level everytime you're dissatisfied? Just go to the one alhope said to, or any other recommended dealer on here.

FLIPDADY, I saw your comment and thought of my issue... if there is too much freeon, the comressor will not engage and your rad fan will not engage (unless your engine is hot) Also... try holding your revs at 2000 for a bit and see if that changes.. if so, I would say your gas is low in the system.

Slash, I agree the AC is the part I like the least about this car along with the little leg room in the back.

Agincourt Mazda is just a terrible dealership in general, I bought my car from there and didn't get it until a month and half later.

Forget going back their for service, and try Mazda of Toronto or Davewood. You're just wasting your time and patience, and your car still won't be fixed.
