I apologize if there is already a thread on this but I was unable to find it.

If you do changes to your car, do you:

1) need to inform your insurance company?
2) does it affect your insurance at all?
3) are you liable not to get insurance claims due to changes in the car if say you got in an accident?

I understand it can void warrantees but I havne't seen anything related to insurance.

Thanks,

Kevin

Thanks for the links.

So from what I gathered in order to be properly insured you would have to be insured though Facility Association. So is everyone here who's modified their cars insured through them or are there others companies that insure modded cars?

I would start a poll but I don't know how:

I am ...

1) Insured through a company that allows modifications to cars (if so please share the name of insurance company if you wish)

2) Insured through a company that does not allow modifications of cars (and they are not aware of the modifications)

3) Other (some option I haven't though of ... please specifiy)
